10 Easy Cocktails That You Can Do On A Budget

You deserve a break. We all earned it after this challenging year we’ve all just had. Maybe it wasn’t the worst year ever, but surely it was the time when you and I, well, everybody, deserved a cocktail to limited our suffering. And if you still don’t know how to do an easy homemade drink or just need some inspiration, here we present the list of our favourite simple cocktails that taste incredible and that are cheap to make.

White Russian

  • 2 parts of vodka
  • 1 part of coffee liqueur
  • 2 parts of whole milk

Put some ice in a short glass, then pour liquor and vodka over it. Finish the drink with milk and stir it. Enjoy! You can substitute the liquor with a half part of decaffeinated coffee and half part of vodka to cheapen it even more.

Gin & Tonic

  • 1 part of dry gin
  • 2 parts of tonic water

Pour tonic and gin in a glass with ice. Garnish with a slice of lime and enjoy it cooled.

Cape Coder

  • 90 ml of cranberry juice
  • 30 ml of vodka

Put some ice in a glass and pour in vodka and juice. Stir well. You can also add a bit of lime up to your taste.

Sea Breeze

  • 45 ml of vodka
  • 90 ml of cranberry juice
  • 30 ml of grapefruit juice

Do all the steps like with the Cape Coder, but add grapefruit juice. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit.

Mimosa

  • 1 part of orange juice
  • 2 parts of champagne or sparkling wine of your choice.

Pour the juice into a glass, and then slowly pour in champagne. Chill before serving. Pro tip: you can use any juice for this cocktail, and it will still taste amazing!

Woo Woo

  • 25 ml of peach schnapps
  • 25 ml of vodka
  • 50 ml of cranberry juice

Mix all the ingredients in a tall glass with some ice. Simple and impressive.

Daiquiri

  • 30 ml of white rum
  • 30 ml of lime juice
  • 22 ml of simple syrup

Firstly, you’ll need to make a simple syrup: take 1 part of water and 1 part of sugar, combine it in a saucepan and put it on medium heat. Stir it constantly until the sugar is dissolved completely. Now, let it cool and use the syrup as needed. The syrup can be refrigerated for about a month.

As for the Daiquiri, put some ice in a tall glass, pour the rum, the juice and the syrup and stir well. That’s it!

Lemon Drop Martini

  • 60 ml of vodka
  • 30 ml of lemon juice
  • 22 ml of simple syrup
  • sugar and lemon for rimming and garnish

That’s our favourite kind of martini. It is sweeter and fresher than a regular one. So to make this drink, wipe your glass’s edge with a lemon wedge and dip it into sugar. Then, put all the ingredients and some ice into a shaker and shake well. Strain it into the glass and enjoy!

Bloody Mary

  • 50 ml of vodka
  • 250 ml of tomato juice
  • celery stick
  • few drops of hot sauce
  • few drops of Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and black pepper

Oh, the classic Mary! Take a proper jug, put all the ingredients of the cocktail and some ice in it. Stir well. Pour yourself a drink in a tall glass and garnish with a celery stick.

Rum and Coke

  • 60 ml of rum
  • 150 ml of coke

And I kept the best part for the end! Put rum and coke in a highball glass with a good amount of ice, stir it, and garnish with a lime slice. Enjoy!
