The beauty industry is experiencing a Renaissance nowadays, and trends replace each other at an incredible speed. In these pandemic times, beauty became one of those sweet escapes, and we can all count on it to cheer us up. Current trends definitely reflect it, and we see the growth of “good-for-you” and inclusive beauty trends that will be relevant in 2021. So, let’s talk about some of them today, shall we?

In 2020 we found ourselves in a situation where such simple things as going to the cosmetology appointment were forbidden. The beauty industry reacted and released a lot of new gadgets on the market. It is so much easier to experience lockdowns if you can treat yourself with a little SPA procedure and feel better after.
Gadgets from NuFace, Foreo, and Dyson are now at the peak of popularity, replacing procedures you previously could get only at a salon. We encourage you to ask your cosmetologist for the best gadgets that fit your needs before buying any, but in general, we love those little helpers: they are amazing.
The Rise of Skincare
Let’s be honest, we all forget to put on eye cream or wash off our makeup at night. That’s bad, but we are all humans and can be lazy. In 2020, due to all the lockdowns and quarantining, people got a little more time to think about themselves and started to be more conscious about self-care.
Today beauty gurus express their interest in caring about your health, skin, and well-being more than simple appearance. Put in on makeup is great, but self-care gives you so much more. As a result, more and more brands came out with their skincare lines, and we can’t be happier about that. Yay to self-care!
Vibrant Lips and Matte Lipstick
In late 2019, matte lipsticks were definitely yesterday’s news. But masks changed it all. Since we don’t want to screw up our masks with shiny lipsticks, matte formula made a triumphant return and became popular again.
In 2021, this trend will evolve into not just matte but bold and vibrant lips : orange, black, green, etc. In our opinion, we need new ways of expressing our creativity, and fun lipsticks can certainly help us with that.
Bold Eye Makeup
When you are wearing a mask (and, please, do it!), eyes become the central part of your face. That’s why the gothic eyeliner, bold monochrome eyeshadow, lots of glitter, and overall dramatic eye makeup is so hot right now. It is a perfect opportunity to use all that eyeshadow palettes beauty guru convinced us to buy, and we ended up never using them. It’s their time to shine, and so is yours!
Dewy Skin and Wet Looks
We applaud this trend! More alive and au naturel skin is something we’ve been waiting for all these matte-skin-trend years. Now we see our favourite brands releasing products that make your face (and eyes) look dewy, fresh, and, may we say, awesome! It is that healthy glow that is so needed for us right now.
Another part of this trend is a “return of wet looks.” In combination with dewy and fresh skin, your hair’s wet look creates an ultra-fashionable and very easy to achieve look for the upcoming spring. It is quite a sexy trend that will be all around us in 2021.
