How To Create A Perfect Sleep Routine
Have you ever heard the saying “Who does get enough sleep today”? Yes, we live in such a fast world, and we have so much to do in our lives that we forget about the most important stuff: our health. When you don’t get enough sleep, you not only look worse than usual, but you also raise your stress levels, eat much more than you need, and wear down your body.
Creating a comforting evening routine that will lead to a good night’s sleep is essential for every modern person. After all, maybe your sleeping experience is unsatisfying, just because you don’t know how to do it right! So we are here to help!

Even before you go to bed, there are few steps you can take to make your sleeping time divine.
- A sleep-worthy bedroom
People so easily overlook this aspect of sleeping, but it is quite a powerful thing actually. Creating a delightful bedroom, especially a bed, that makes you feel happy and excited for sleep is one of the most important steps on this way. Try different bed linen: cotton, silk, etc., to find the most comfortable for you. Also, there is a theory that dark colours, like blues and browns, help you fall asleep faster, so check them out too! - Consistency
When you go to bed regularly at, let’s say, 11 PM, your body starts adjusting to this schedule. Your brain will start developing melatonin to help you fall asleep every day around that time. It is very helpful for your mental health and helps to sleep well. However, if you don’t feel sleepy, it is not good to go to bed either. If you are not tired, just do some exercise and prevent yourself from sleepless hours in bed. - Don’t eat or drink two hours before sleep
You don’t need to go to bed hungry, but heavy meals at night can cause nightmares and bad sleep quality. Just eat a snack or a fruit, if you need it, and you will be happier tomorrow!

After your ritual, go to bed and read a little. Reading for 7 minutes before sleep helps to reduce all the stress you’ve experienced during a day and relaxes your brain. It will help you to get a good night’s sleep and feel like a brand new person in the morning. - Go to sleep in a dark, quiet room
Now you made all the things before bedtime, and your eyes are closing. It is time to make the room as dark as possible and eliminate all the sources of noise. Keep pets out of your room, turn off everything that can make noise, and finally, fall asleep.
